System Settings

> Settings

One of the main advantages of HiCAD is that it allows you to customize parameters to match your individual requirements, e.g. for displaying lines and edges, for texts, for dimensionings and much else.

Most of these parameters can be changed via the Configuration Editor, others via the corresponding .DAT system files with defined default values in the SYS directory.

You can change the following parameters via the Settings function, by selecting the appropriate Settings entry:

To change the settings, proceed as follows:

  1. Click the relevant folder name.
  2. If applicable, select the appropriate sub-folder.
  3. Change the settings in the corresponding input window. The system files in question are adjusted accordingly when you exit the menu, i.e. the changed value is the default value when you next start HiCAD.

If you want to revert to the original HiCAD settings, then you proceed as follows:

  1. Activate the Settings function.
  2. Choose the desired window, e.g. Special colours.
  3. In this window, choose Settings and then, under Colours, the Default function.
