Colour Markings in the ICN Part Structure

The ICN uses the following colours and representations for displaying the part structure:

  • Active part (red font)

The active part of the current drawing is displayed in red font in the ICN. In parallel with this, the attributes of this part are displayed in the Properties tab and a graphic preview of the part shown in the Graphics tab.

  • Selected part (dotted frame)

The selected part is the part the properties of which are displayed in the Properties window of the ICN and in the Graphics window. This part is displayed with a dotted frame. It will generally be the active part, but this can be changed by left-clicking while holding down the ALT key.

  • Part of a 3-D part list (coloured background)

The ICN supports multiple selection of parts. This multiple selection is referred to as a part list. All parts in a multiple selection have a dark background, while the sub-parts assigned to the parts have a light blue background. The active part can, but does not need to, belong to the part list.

All three display types can occur alone, together or in any combination!
