Define Link (PE)

If a link has not been defined yet, you first need to define a suitable one:

1. Select the HELiOS Desktop Define link function.
2. In the Designation field, enter a name for the new link, e.g. LINK_NEW.
3. Select for the source class as well as for the target class the Part entry.
4. Select the link type M:N.
5. End the function with OK.

The Part - Part link must be specified in the Bills of Materials tab of the Plant Engineering Settings dialogue.

Proceed as follows to specify this setting:

1. Select Settings > Plant Engineering Settings, then activate the Bills of Materials tab.
2. Click the Select button next to the Link for accessory set input field.
3. The Find links window is displayed. If required, set some filter criteria and click Start search. The found data records are displayed.
4. Mark the data record LINK_NEW - Part-Part.
5. Click Apply.
6. Exit the Plant Engineering Settings window with OK.
