If the guideline mode is active, the following types of insertion are available for the part type "Cross":
In edge direction Here you place the origin of the local coordinate system on the start of the selected guideline; the Z-axis runs in the direction of the guideline. When inserted, the part is transformed in such a way that its part coordinate system coincides with the local coordinate system. With its reference point the part can be moved along the Z-axis until the reference point coincides with the insertion point to be determined.

In opposite edge direction Here you place the origin of the local coordinate system on the end of the selected guideline;. the Z-axis runs in the opposite direction of the guideline. When inserted, the part is transformed in such a way that its part coordinate system coincides with the local coordinate system. With its reference point the part can be moved along the Z-axis until the reference point coincides with the insertion point to be determined.

Connect Here, the inserted part is transformed in such a way that its selected connecting surface is attached to the connecting surface of a part that is located on the guideline of the active pipeline.
The Plant Engineering Settings on the Part search tab will be considered for this type of insertion. |

On edge branching A prerequisite for this type of insertion is the existence of two intersecting guidelines running perpendicular to each other. For part insertion, the branching point, and then one of the guidelines must be identified. The guideline determines the insertion direction.
