Fit Nozzle in Vessel (PE)

This function contains options enabling you to insert nozzles in vessels existing in the active drawing.

You can use straight pipes or elbows as nozzles. The pipe or elbows used depends on predetermined settings, i.e. pipe class specification and nominal diameter. The nominal diameter, pipe length, or bend angle and pipe class, by which the part is selected, are saved together with the part inserted in the vessel. This enables you to take the pipe class and nominal diameter over when a pipeline is subsequently connected.

HiCAD first asks you to identify the vessel you want to process. The selection menu that appears on your screen enables you to successfully fit the nozzle in four steps.

1. Set point on outer surface of vessel
2. Check settings (Guideline OFF / Representation type)
3. Specify selection criteria for pipe
4. Specify type of insertion and fit nozzle
