Buffer Memory for Catalogue Part Data (PE)

Plant Engineering > Part Data Tools > EditCL > Clear buffer memory

If you have selected the HiCAD Catalogue as part data source (see Plant Engineering Settings, Part selection), catalogue data and search criteria are saved to a buffer memory in order to speed up part search when fitting parts. New searches leading to the same part will re-use these memorized data, thus speeding up the search process.

When closing a drawing or switching to another drawing the buffer memory is cleared automatically.

In the rare case that part data of already fitted parts were changed in the catalogue while a drawing is being created or processed, you should empty the buffer memory with the Clear buffer memory function interactively. In this way you ensure that during the next fitting the new original data are used.
