The matching catalogue order number for each variant sub-type (i.e. the number that needs to be indicated for ordering the article from the supplier) is assigned via the BENENNUNG2 attribute.
The JACOB component variants supplied by the ISD are the powder-coated components. Components that are not supplied powder-coated have the order number of a different, available sub-type.
The order numbers of the JACOB components are composed as follows:
DN<1250
DN>1250
As the geometrical sub-types are independent of the various material variants, you can, if desired, select Plant Engineering > Part Data Tools > Variant Editor to create new data records with an adjusted material ID.
To copy an existing data record, you need to select it. Via Record > List it can be opened with a double-click. Via Record > New you can create a new data record containing the values of the previously selected sub-type. You can then adjust the desired parameter values.
For the JACOB variants the attribute for the standard designation serves only the purpose of a faster and more efficient retrieval of parts. As they are no standard parts, no "real" standard designation is available here.
Therefore, the file name placed in brackets is used for the NORMBEZEICHNUNG (Standard designation) attribute. This enables you to quickly deduce the associated variant archive file (.VAA file) from a Plant Engineering variant.
The file names of catalogue parts are in most cases composed according to the same principle: The supplier name or its abbreviation (here:Jacob) is followed by the designation of the component (e.g. T-piece) which describes the function of this variant. In some cases, other supplements are appended in order to indicate certain properties of the variant (e.g. length or angle), or to distinguish the variant from other sub-types of the same part. This consistent designation for the variants enables their instant recognition by the file name / the standard.
Supplements and abbreviations that are frequently used for the Jacob variants:
LF |
Variant with loose flange(s) |
LF_A |
Variant with welded-on loose flange(s) |
DICHT |
Variant with seal |
HAND |
Valve/distributor, hand-operated |
PNEU |
Valve/distributor, with pneumatic rotatory actuator |
PNEU_HUB |
Valve/distributor, with pneumatic cylinder |
AC |
Valve/distributor, operated with 230V, AC |
DC |
Valve/distributor, operated wit 24V, DC |
SYMM |
Valve/distributor, symmetrical (fork) |
ASYMM |
Valve/distributor, asymmetrical (branch) |
BELIMO |
Valve/distributor, with Belimo valve actuator |
STELL/ELEK |
Valve/distributor, with electrical actuator |
The article number configuration (ID) is generated for each variant sub-type, thus defining them unambiguously via the individual attributes. These IDs are generated according to the following principle:
<BENENNUNG>, DN<NENNWEITE>, <WANDDICKE>mm
Example:
Jacob T-piece, DN630, 2mm
