Guidelines from 3-D

Guideline as 3-D polyline

New construction of the 3-D guidelines.
Once you have completed the Place cross-section menu, HiCAD asks you to specify the 3-D points of the composite edge. Use END to end the construction of the guideline.

Copy guidelines from 3-D C-edge (Default)

Using existing 3-D composite edges as guidelines.
Once you have completed the Place Cross-Section menu, HiCAD asks you to identify the guidelines.

Cross-sections from 2-D

Copy c-section from existing 2-D part

Copies the cross-section from a 2-D part existing in the drawing.

Copy c-section from database

Copies the cross-section from a 2-D part saved as a file (.FGA).

Create as 2-D polyline

Select this construction method if you want to construct the cross-section as a 2-D polyline. HiCAD asks you to specify the 2-D points of the polyline. Use END to end the construction.

Copy from 2-D polyline (Default)

Uses a 2-D polyline existing in the drawing as a cross-section.

From 3-D C-edge in screen plane

Uses the projection of a 3-D composite edge existing in the drawing to the current screen plane as a cross-section.
