Settings (3-D FFS)

3-D FFS > Settings

Use this function to define the representation of freeform surfaces. You can, for instance, change surface parameters, such as colour, hatching, patterns etc., hide/show specific edges, define the accuracy of mesh representation or display the normal vectors of a freeform surface.

The functions largely correspond to the same-named 3-D functions.

Furthermore, you can access the functions for freeform surface representation by activating

the context menu for drawings , and selecting Properties > Show surface boundaries, or
the context menu for views, and selecting Properties > Hide/show elements.

Function	Description
	Change surface colour, Individual Changes the colour of individual surfaces. Clicking opens a pull-down menu with further surface colour functions.
	Hatch surface Hatches surfaces of the active part. Clicking opens a pull-down menu with further hatching functions.
	Mesh fineness for individual surfaces Determines the mesh fineness of a surface via the number of lines in m-and n-direction. Clicking opens a pull-down menu with further functions for mesh fineness specification.
