3-D Standard > New > Extruded > 2-D->3-D Conversion > Revolved solids
This operation creates 3-D models by rotating a closed polyline (shape) about a defined 2-D rotation axis.
Proceed as follows:
First define the views using the Views function from the 2-D->3-D Conversion
menu.
Identify the required polyline in one of the defined views.
Next, determine the 2-D rotation axis, either by identifying an edge or by specifying two points.
Then specify a reference point. This reference point is important if you want to derive several single parts from the defined views. The indication of the reference point enables an exact positioning of the relevant 3-D parts in relation to each other.
