3-D Dimensioning + Text > Individual dimensions
The functions in this section enable you to create individual dimensions, i.e. independent dimensions with only one dimension geometry and one dimension figure. The dimension will be assigned to the active part.
The following functions are available:
This function is a smart, variable dimensioning function that combines a multitude of individual dimensioning functions. Depending on the selected element, e.g. edge, full circle or point, it directly creates the "correct" dimension or, if several dimensions are possible, allows you to choose the desired dimension. It is thus possible to quickly create
with only one function. |
Further functions for creating individual dimensions can be found in the Individual dimensions menu which can be reached by clicking on the icon. |
Linear dimensions |
Linear dimension, axially parallel creates a linear dimension running parallel to any axis. |
creates a linear dimension running parallel to an identified object - independent of the active coordinate system. |
Linear dimension with reference axis creates a linear dimension running parallel to a reference axis. |
Angular dimensions |
Angular dimension via points/edges/surfaces dimensions the angle between 2 edges or surfaces. |
dimensions the angle between an edge and the X-axis. |
dimensions the angle between an edge and the Y-axis. |
dimensions the angle between an egde and the Z-axis. |
dimensions the angle between an edge and an arbitrary axis. |
Diameter dimensions |
Diameter dimension, axially parallel axially parallel diameter dimension of a circle, a circular arc or a surface. |
diameter dimension of a circle, a circular arc or a surface, with free position of the dimension line. |
Radius dimensions |
Radius dimension, axially parallel axially parallel radius dimension of a circle, a circular arc or a surface. |
radius dimension of a circle, a circular arc or a surface, with free position of the dimension line. |
Arc dimensions |
Arc dimension, via point/edge/surface determines the arc dimension between the start point and the end point of an arc |
Arc dimension, via centre/start/end dimensions an arc section. |
Arc dimension, via 2 points projected onto circle dimensions an arc section via identification of the circle/arc and specification of the start and end point. In contrast to the other function the points do not have to be located on the circle/arc, but will be projected onto the circle/arc or its imagined extension. |
Arc dimension, via 3 points on arc dimensions an arc defined by three points. |
Half-section dimensions |
Half-section dimension, axially parallel creates a half-section dimension, i.e. a dimension whose second point is created by mirroring the first dimension point on a symmetry axis. |
Dimension whose second dimension point is created by mirroring the first point on a symmetry axis. Half-section dimensions are generally used to depict the lengths of symmetrical parts. The depiction is done in a half-section, i.e. with a dimension auxiliary line and a shortened dimensioning line. |
