Modify Texts (2-D)

2-D Dimensioning + Text > Edit

The Edit function group of the 2-D Dimensioning+Text tab contains functions for the moving, copying and changing of dimensioning texts.

Function	Description
	Move text	If you choose a new reference point for the insertion point, the identified text is moved.
Pull-down menu Move
	Move text, with Sketch	Use the Sketch functions to move the identified text.
	Move text, via 2 points	Specify 2 points that define the distance by which a previously identified text will be moved.
	Copy text, Free	Use this function to copy an identified texts via specification of a reference point.
	Copy text, with Sketch	Use this function to copy texts and move them using Sketch technology.
	Copy text, via 2 points	Enables you to define, via specification of 2 points, a distance by which the previously identified and copied text will be moved.
	Scale text	The following options for the scaling of texts are available: Individual, In rectangle, Part, All. The scaling factor is entered in the pocket calculator dialogue that appears upon selection of the function. Please note: If a DWG file is read in with a 1:1 scale, and the scale is subsequently changed to 1:20, the texts will not be scaled as well. You can use this function to adjust the text height.
	Fit text, between 2 points	If you fit an existing text between a start point and an end point, it is compressed or stretched horizontally. Please note: The fitting of texts is not possible for TrueType text fonts and texts with leader lines.

	Edit text	This function changes the identified text. First select the text. The Text Editor for 2-D texts opens. Change the text and exit the Editor with OK.
Pull-down menu Edit
	Parameters, Change	This function changes the parameters (colour, layer, font type, ...) of existing texts. First select the identification type of the text. The Text Editor for 2-D texts then appears. Change the parameters and click OK to exit the editor. Then identify the texts to be changed. If you enter a negative value in the Text Size and Width Factor fields, it is interpreted as a multiplier. The minus sign (-) is used to identify the Factor function.
	Parameters, Same as reference text	This function changes the parameters of an existing text in line with a reference text. First choose the identification type, then the reference line and finally the text to be corrected.
