Internal, External Group Tools (2-D)

Referencing information for active part

2-D Part > Reference > External > Referencing info for active part

This function shows you information about the active, internally or externally referenced part. At the same time, the group is marked.

You receive information about:

Change referencing number

2-D Part > Reference > External > Change referencing number

This function enables you to change the part name and the group number of the active part of an internal referencing. The active part is then no longer referenced.

Change path for externally referenced parts

2-D Part > Reference > External > Change path for externally referenced parts

Externally referenced parts can be saved under various paths. This function allows you to set a different path for the referenced parts of the drawing. The prerequisite is that the parts with the same name should be contained in the modified path. FILEGRUP.DAT contains the letter IDs for the paths.

  1. First specify whether you want the path to be changed only for the active part or for all referenced parts of the drawing.
  2. If only the active part is to be given a new path, enter the letter.

If you want to change the path for all parts, first enter the old letter. If your drawing has referenced parts from different paths, enter an asterisk *. You can then enter a new path letter.

Delete element contents of externally referenced parts

2-D Part > Reference > External > Delete element contents of externally referenced parts

This function deletes the visible contents of the external part from the drawing.

If you save the drawing without elements from the external parts, they are re-inserted during the next loading.
