Insert Bitmap (2-D)

Drawing > Insert Part > Exp. > Bitmap

You can integrate pixel files of formats BMP, GIF, PCX, TIF and JPG into HiCAD drawings and output them together with the drawing.

  1. Choose the file type (BMP, GIF...) in the bottom section of the mask.
  2. Then select the path and the file.

If you have activated the preview, the file is displayed to you.

  1. Choose OK to load the file.
  2. Then define the size of the pixel graphics by specifying the bottom left and top right corners.

You can alternately show or hide pixel graphics that have been integrated into drawings. To do this, activate the selection under the Drawing > Others > Visualisation > Via element type menu item. If the Bitmap symbol appears grey, the files are hidden in the drawing.

Pixel graphics are saved with the drawing. If you do not want this to happen, open the Configuration Editor (ISDConfigEditor.exe), and select ... > System settings > Miscellaneous > Bitmaps internal/external. You can choose between the following settings :

1 Pixel graphic is saved with the drawing.

0 The link is saved with the drawing.
