Use this function to connect 2 beams with a welded plate, which can either be fitted flush or with top, bottom or lateral projection. If required, the beams are automatically shortened, lengthened and/or mitred.
The plate will be assigned to the first identified beam.
Configurations of purlin joints can be saved, which enables you to access your individual configurations at any time afterwards.
The configuration tales place via the tabs of the dialogue window.
Selected parts
This tab displays information on the previously identified beams, such as the type, the material, the dimensions of the bems etc. Changes are not possible here.
Front plate
On this tab you specify the properties of the plate.
Semi-finished product
The plate can consist of sheet metal or flat steel. Click the |
Geometry
The plate size will be determined by the identified beam and the specified projections. |
Weld seams
On this tab you specify whether you also want to create weld seams on the web and/or flange. If you want to create weld seams, activate the corresponding checkbox and enter the seam thickness
After entering all required data, you can fit the purlin joint. If you select Apply, the purlin joint will be fitted, but the dialogue window will remain open. If you select OK, the purlin joint will be fitted, and the dialogue window ill be closed. If you select Close, the changes will be discarded and the window will be closed without fitting the purlin joint.
