BOM Settings (HiCAD)

Drawing > Bill of Materials > BOM Settings

This function enables you to specify the parts/assemblies you want to include in a bill of materials.

Select/deselect the appropriate checkbox to specify the parts you want to include in the BOM - parts with part masters and/or parts without part masters.

Settings (Example):

  1.  with part master +  without part master +  BOM-relevant

Respected will be all parts with part masters and parts without part master which are BOM-relevant

  1.  with part master +  without part master +  BOM-relevant

Respected will be only parts without part master which are BOM-relevant

  1.   with part master +  without part master +  BOM-relevant

Respected will be all parts

  1.   with part master +  without part master +  BOM-relevant

Respected will be only parts with part masters

  1.   with part master +  without part master +  BOM-relevant

Respected will be only parts without part masters

Enables you to specify whether for parts without HELiOS part masters the attribute "BOM-relevant" will be taken into account or not.

This value specifies the number of hierarchical levels (in part structure) that will be recognised when BOMs are created. For instance, if you enter a value of 1, only main parts will be listed.

Activate the appropriate radio buttons to link part listings to visibility.

Activate the appropriate radio button to specify whether only 2-D parts or only 3-D parts will be recognised.

Make the required settings and select OK to exit the dialogue box.

 

Please note that "all parts" just means that all parts will be displayed in the ICN of the Report Manager. In the actual BOM, only "BOM-relevant" parts will be listed.
