The HELiOS HiCAD BIM-PLM Suite

The HELiOS HICAD BIM-PLM suite (BIM = Building-Information-Modelling) is a comprehensive solution for a CAD-independent data and process management for projects, documents, parts, product structures and folders, with user-friendly input, search and output options, and a flexible, PDM-oriented management of users and groups. Configurable classification structures, workflows and indexing mechanisms enable a company-specific control of processes.

The integration of these functionalities into the HiCAD GUI gives direct access to the drawing- and part-relevant HELiOS functions in HiCAD, including updating of title blocks and access rights check. For the predominantly project-oriented design tasks in civil engineering and custom machine building, HiCAD additionally provides BIM-and PLM-relevant automation functions enabling a generation and updating of project-related HELiOS part masters and classifications, as well as the management and intelligent updating of automatically generated HiCAD production drawings in HELiOS.

The market-leading 3-D functionalities of HiCAD enable an easy and convenient creation of steel and metal engineering constructions with the help of state-of-the-art design technologies. Production, installation and order documents can be generated and updated automatically via integrated standard functionalities, and can later be safely managed in HELiOS via efficient standard databases.

The extensive data and process management functionalities of the PDM system HELiOS ensure that all staff members of an enterprise will have access to constantly current data, e.g. 3-D models, production drawings, assembly drawings, bills of materials, NC data, E-mails, letters etc.
