PDM > Drawing > Derive > Delete, Selection via HELiOS
If you delete any objects in a model drawing managed with the BIM-PLM suite, they will be removed from the drawing. When you then save the drawing again, the link type "Deleted" will be assigned to the corresponding data records of the deleted objects in the database.
You can use the Delete drawing, Selection via HELiOS function to remove objects with the link type "Deleted" from the detail/workshop drawings as well.
When you call the function, all objects with the link type "Deleted" will be displayed in the Combi-search dialogue window. Mark the objects that you want to delete from the detail/workshop drawings and click Apply.
The list of workshop/detail drawings belonging to the model drawing will then be updated accordingly.
Example:
In the model drawing shown below, detail/workshop drawings exist for all parts. All detail/workshop drawings are up to date.
In the model drawing the left and the right beam (2 x IPE 160) have been deleted. Then, the model drawing has been saved.
In the database, the deleted beams are assigned the link type "Deleted".
After selecting Drawing > Derive > Delete, Selection via HELiOS, marking the corresponding data record and clicking Apply, the beams will also be deleted from the database, and the existing drawings will be updated accordingly.
If an automatically generated part master is not used in a superordinate part master, and if there is a part that has no links, the product structure of the part needs to be deleted before you carry out a general clean-up.
