Manage Drawings

A HiCAD drawing file is referred to as Drawing and has the file name extension .SZA.

A HiCAD drawing consists of 2-D and 3-D parts. These can be assemblies, individual parts or holes etc. In addition to the parts, the drawing contains basic information about:

• the coordinate system, the scale and the unit of measurement,
• the 2-D graphical elements and points,
• the 3-D volume, edges, surfaces and points,
• the 3-D views,
• the 3-D processing planes,
• the hatchings,
• the materials used,
• the 2-D and 3-D texts,
• the 2-D and 3-D dimensionings,
• the auxiliary constructions such as grids, auxiliary lines etc.,
• the non-graphical elements (attributes, article data) and
• loaded pixel graphics.

Please note:

• When you start HiCAD, the settings of the HiCAD Start Centre are taken into account. In other words, HiCAD automatically creates a new drawing or activates the dialogue for loading drawings.
• 3-D drawings are divided into part drawings and assembly drawings.
