Hatching in Sectional View and Cut-Out (3-D)

3-D Standard > Tools > Attr. > Hatch section + cut-out

You can define an individual hatching per component and view for those section surfaces that result from sections, cut-outs or detail areas. Make the settings you want and click OK to exit the dialogue window.

The dialogue window consists of the following areas:

Settings

Pattern according to drawing setting

In all drawings (before version 1205), the corresponding view settings are used for patterns, line spacing and line angles of the section surfaces.

For version 1205 and higher, HiCAD knows the relevant hatch pattern for certain materials. If you have assigned such a material (e.g. cast iron or aluminium alloy) to a component, the hatch pattern assigned to the material is used for the section surfaces.

If you select Properties > Hatching in the context menu of the drawing you can shade all section surfaces – regardless of view - either according to material catalogue or by means of parallel lines.

Individual

  • Hatching
  • According to material
If a material for which HiCAD knows the appropriate hatch pattern has been assigned to the part, this pattern is used; otherwise, the hatch pattern of the view is used.
  • From view
The hatch pattern of the view is used.
  • Choose pattern
You select the hatch pattern explicitly.
  • Offset/Angle

Take over from view /Value input

Spacing between and angle of the hatching lines can either be taken over from the view or defined on an individual basis. If the values are specified individually, the angle distinguishes between non-oriented and oriented hatching.

Apply to

Part (without sub-parts)
