Rotate Sketch Elements (3-D)

Sketch > Transform > Rotate...

Use this function to rotate individual elements of the active sketch. The rotation angle is determined via specification of the rotation point and two fitting points. Proceed as follows:

  1. Identify the graphical element you want tot rotate.
  2. Identify the rotation point (fixed point of rotation).
  3. Specify one point on the graphical element, and one point in the drawing.

The element will be rotated about the specified rotation point in such a way that the fitting point selected for the element will be located on the Rotation point – Fitting pointconnection in the drawing.

Clicking opens a menu with further rotation functions.

  1. Specify a fitting point on the element and its new position.
  2. Select the rotation angle.

* only for planar sketches, ** only for 3-D sketches

The Clone functions work in the same way as the same-named Transform functions. When using the Clone functions, you need to additionally specify the number of copies ("clones"), including the original.
