Change Parameters of Existing Dimensions (3-D)

3-D Dimensioning + Text > Tools > Dimension > Parameters 

Use the following functions to make subsequent changes to the parameters of an existing dimensioning:

• Change parameters
• Same as reference dimension

3-D Dimensioning + Text > Tools > Dimension > Parameters, Change parameters

You use this function to make subsequent changes to the parameters of existing dimensions.
 

To change the parameters, the same window is displayed as for the default settings of the different dimensioning types. 

1. Change the desired parameters.
2. Click OK to exit the window.

Please note:

• These settings have no influence on the parameter settings specified with the Dimension, Parameters function.
• Normally, HiCAD decides on the basis of the parameter settings and geometric data whether a dimension is created as an internal or external dimension. If you want to make an internal dimension an external dimension or vice versa, open the Dimension lines tab and select the required option from the Int./Ext. dimensioning listbox. If you select the Switch automatically option, HiCAD checks in case of any changes of the dimensioned object whether the space will be sufficient for internal dimensioning. If not, HiCAD automatically switches to external dimensioning.

3-D Dimensioning + Text > Tools > Dimension > Parameters, Same as reference dimension

You use this function to apply the parameters of an existing dimension to other dimensions of your drawing. 

1. Select the dimensions whose parameters you want to change.
2. Identify the reference dimension, i.e. the dimension whose parameters you want to be applied.

From reference
	Individual Changes the parameters of individual dimensions
	Structure Changes the parameters of all part dimensions of a dimensioning structure
	Rectangle Changes the parameters of all dimensions the dimension figure of which lies within one or more rectangles (max. 10)
	All in part Changes all dimensions of the active part
	All Changes all dimensions of the active drawing
