Dimension Parameters (3-D)

3-D Dimensioning + Text > Tools > Dimension

The layout of a dimensioning table can be customized down to the smallest detail.

Clicking the icon activates the Set parameters for new general dimension function.

Clicking opens the Dimension parameters menu. The following functions are available:

Active drawing
	Parametric dimensions Settings for parametric dimensions of the active drawing. Selecting the function opens the Parametric dimensions dialogue window.
	HCM dimensions Settings for HiCAD Constraint Manager Dimensions (see also Parametrics), active drawing. Selecting the function opens the Parametric dimensions dialogue window.
	Steel Engineering drawing Settings for dimensionings of the active Steel Engineering drawing. Selecting the function opens the Parametric dimensions dialogue window.
	Same as reference dimension Adopts the settings from an existing dimension as the new default setting for the active drawing. Identify the dimension you want to use as the new default setting.
Manage
	Load parameters Loads a parameter file and adopts its settings as the new default setting.
	Save parameters Saves the current settings of the function under Active drawing for a later re-use.
Parameters
Change parameters Changes the parameters of existing dimensions.
Same as reference dimension Assigns the parameters of a selected dimension, the so-called "reference dimension", to an existing dimesnion.

Please note:

The settings specified under Active drawing apply to the current HiCAD session, as long as you specify any different settings. If you want to use the settings permanently, save the settings with the Save parameters function for a later re-use.
The ISD default settings are stored in the Dimensioning_Settings.xml file in the SYS sub-directory.
To change the parameters of already existing dimensionings, use the appropriate functions of the Process function group.
