Basic Settings for Views (3-D)

> Settings > Basic settings > 3-D > View 

Clik the icon, then select Settings > Basic settings > 3-D > View. There you can pre-set various parameters for views and their representation.

Default views

Defines whether standard views are arranged according to the German or American standard.

Specifies whether View all is automatically activated after rotating a view or creating axonometries.

Hidden edges

Defines the colour and line type for the hidden line display. The layer is normally determined automatically by HiCAD. This depends on the part to which the corresponding edge belongs. You can, however, also pre-set a fixed layer number.

Defines whether free edges are to be hidden in the hidden line display.

Visualisation

Edges have an internal ID, which identifies them as a standard or tangential edge, a mesh edge in n-, m-direction*, a mesh diagonal or polyhedral lateral edge. This enables edges to be show/hidden via the limiting angle or by means of individual identification, depending on type. (* n and m here are the natural parameter directions of a surface, e.g. latitude and longitude of a sphere.)
