Attributes of the Part (2-D)

2-D Part > Properties Part attributes

This function is relevant if you want to create Bills of Materials (BOMs) even without using the HELiOS database.

Here, you can assign a 2-D part further non-graphic attributes, such as additional texts, in addition to attributes like colour, line type or layer as well as material properties etc. In addition, you can use this function to mark parts as relevant for the BOM.

You can find this function both in the Properties function group and via the ICN (right-click part and select Properties).

Please note the following:

If you are working with HELiOS, all parts to which a part master has been assigned are automatically relevant for the BOM.
Standard parts are always relevant for the BOM.
You can also use the search function of the ICN to assign or change the BOM relevance and the part attributes. It also allows you to mark several parts as relevant for the BOM in one step.
To create the BOM, you use the Bill of Materials for entire drawing or Bill of Materials for active part functions in the Itemisation/Detailing function group of the Drawing tab, or in the context menu of the ICN.
