Create + Assign New Part Master (HICADPDM)

HELiOS PDM > ... > Assign

The Assign function can be found in the two function groups HELiOS PDM functions for active drawing and HELiOS PDM functions for active part. It enables you to create a new part master via data entries into the part data specification (PART ENTER) mask.

Some data, e.g. the designations, will be taken over from the document master data during this process. Complete the entries and exit the mask with OK.

Please note: Use the Article number to identify the part in the BOM. You can either enter the document number or generate it automatically with the generation program GENUMMER.EXE (in the...\exe directory of your HiCAD/HELIOS installation).

Alternatively, you can access the function as follows:

Right-click the part or the name of the part in the ICN and select HELiOS. In the HELiOS 3-D Part sub-menu, select Create+assign new part master.
