Update Sub-Part Index (PDM in HiCAD)

Context menu (RMB) > HELiOS > Update sub-part index

Use this function to update the sub-part index of the active part. All sub-parts of the (referenced) part will be updated to the newest index. No indices for superordinate structure elements will be required for this.

HiCAD asks you whether you want to update the product structure. If you click Yes , the CAD ---> HELiOS Product structure dialogue window opens (see also Transfer Part Structure to HELiOS Product Structure). If you click No, this step will be omitted.

You will then asked whether you want to save the updated part, and then the updated drawing.

Please note:

If any workflow releases have been issued (for one or several assemblies receiving the part with this new, revised index), these will be ignored when the part is saved. This means that the part and the updated drawing will be saved in the CAD environment, overriding all HELiOS access and release rights, even if they have already been released.
Only geometry changes (but no structure changes) are possible.
The update affects only the geometry of the parts, but not the drawings in the drawing file.
To be able to perform the update, save the last change of the drawing in HiCAD first.
