Server Monitor: Settings
The Settings dialogue of the Server Monitor is divided into the following sub-menus:
General
Server Monitor: Settings > General
In the sub-menu General some basic configurations for the Server Monitor can be set:
-
Start option: If the checkbox Run at start has been activated, the Server Monitor will be started automatically after the Windows system start or after each reboot. If the checkbox is not active, it must be started manually (see above).
-
Notifications:
Sound: If this checkbox is active, your system generates a signal tone when the server status changes (e.g. from "green" to "red".
Message box: If this checkbox is active, a window opens with a corresponding message when the server status changes. (If the overall status changes several times, the message may be output several times).
HELiOS Spooler
Server Monitor: Settings > HELiOS Spooler
Here you can specify the Port of the HELiOS Spooler and the interval at which the Spooler Server to be monitored is to be queried. The default setting is every minute (60 seconds).
The Port of the HELiOS Spooler is specified here under General. This is the default port under which the respective server application is searched. If you change this, the newly set default port will be preset accordingly for future server monitoring of the HELiOS Spooler type.
Below this the Interval is set in which the server to be monitored is queried. The default is every minute (60 seconds). Again, any changes made when adding new server monitoring will then be used by default.
Under Time-out you can set a Response time.
This is the response time of the application itself or response times for the transmission of errors during application operation. The setting of larger time-out times depends on the respective network. For slower networks or remote server applications, higher time-out times may be necessary.
HELiOS Vault-Server
Server Monitor: Settings > HELiOS Vault-Server
Here you can specify the Port of the HELiOS Vault-Server and the interval at which the Server to be monitored is to be queried. The default setting is every minute (60 seconds).
The Port of the HELiOS Vault Server is specified here under General. This is the default port under which the respective server application is searched. If you change this, the newly set default port will be preset accordingly for future server monitoring of the HELiOS Vault Server type.
Below this the Interval is set in which the server to be monitored is queried. The default is every minute (60 seconds). Again, any changes made when adding new server monitoring will then be used by default.
Under Time-out you can set a Response time.

HELiOS Article Synchronization
Server Monitor: Settings> HELiOS Article Synchronization
If you are working with the HELiOS interface to an ECAD/CAE application such as EPLAN, you will find the settings for monitoring the HELiOS Article Synchronization here:
General:
The Port of the Article Synchronization is specified under General. This is the default port under which the Article Synchronization service is searched. If you change this, the newly set default port will be preset accordingly for future server monitoring of the HELiOS Article Synchronisation type.
Below this, the Interval is set in which the Article Synchronization service to be monitored is queried. The default is every minute (60 seconds). Here too, any changes made when adding new server monitoring will then be used by default.
Time-out:
Under Time-out you can set a Response time.
This is the response time of the application itself or response times for the transmission of errors during application operation. The setting of larger time-out times depends on the respective network. For slower networks or remote server applications, higher time-out times may be necessary.
Below you can also set a Response time of error detection. This is the interval in which an error message is queried and, if necessary, returned. This can be set higher than the interval of the general response time.
HELiOS Automation Service
The HELiOS Automation Service is a monitoring of the runnability of the tool Helios.ErpService.exe. This server service controls ERP interfaces and other tasks.
It is possible to enter several instances under different names (instead of "HELiOS Automation Service").
General:
The Port of the Article Synchronization is specified under General. This is the default port under which the Article Synchronization service is searched. If you change this, the newly set default port will be preset accordingly for future server monitoring of the
HELiOS Automation Service type.
Time-out:
Under Time-out you can set a Response time.
This is the response time of the application itself or response times for the transmission of errors during application operation. The setting of larger time-out times depends on the respective network. For slower networks or remote server applications, higher time-out times may be necessary.
