Lengthen/Shorten
You use the functions of this function group to
- lengthen or shorten beams,
- divide beams and
- union beams.

This function divides beams and profiles along a direction into several sections. Various division options are available, for example, the individual profiles can have different lengths. In addition, a corresponding feature is created with this function so that the division can also be processed later if desired. The function essentially works in the same way as the function 3-D Standard > Process > Trim |

Please note:
The length change functions are used to move the facets of the front contour of the beam. In certain cases, new facets can also be created and/or existing facets can be omitted. This is the case, for example, when the end of the beam is moved into the area of a hole by shortening it - as shown in the image below.
