Load 2-D DXF/DWG Files
Drawing > New/Open > Open > 2-D Import
To load DXF/DWG files, choose Drawing > New/Open > Open > 2-D Import
and select the file type 2-D DXF/DWG (*.dxf, *dwg) in the pull-down menu of the selection window that opens to the right of the File name field.
Under Import settings on the right of the window you can call up or re-edit a corresponding import configuration.
The ISD defaults are the delivery status of the export configuration.
If the import configuration has been edited by the user, this is indicated in the field by the entry <Individual setting>.
In the pull-down sub-menu item Previous configuration you will find conversions of configuration files of older HiCAD versions for selection. The mouseover tooltip gives you further information on this.
After selecting a file and confirming with OK, DXF/DWG files are loaded taking into account their import settings.
Please note:
- DXF and DWG files can also be transferred into HiCAD via Drag&Drop, e.g. from the Explorer.
