The Itemisation/Detailing function group of the Drawing tab contains functions for part itemisation, which is a prerequisite for the creation of production documents and Bills of Materials (BOMs). In addition, functions for the generation of Steel Engineering workshop and detail drawings are provided. Besides the option to manually assign item numbers with the functions of the Dimensioning + Text tabs, HiCAD also enables an automatic itemisation of BOM-relevant 3-D parts.

	Automatic identical part search and itemisation, with current parameters Automatically assigns item numbers to parts. The current parameter settings for itemisation will be used.
	Define front view for derived drawings Determines whether the active view should be considered as the Front view during drawing derivation. This influences the alignment of assemblies, parts, beams and sheets in the drawing derivation as well as the pipeline isometry and pipe spool drawings.
	Drawing derivation Automatic creation of workshop, detail and mounting drawings, as well as settings for drawing derivation.
	Insert drawing frame Inserts a drawing frame - according to DIN and with title block.
	Bill of Materials, for entire drawing Creation of Bill of Materials (BOM) and Weld Seam Test Protocols

Clicking opens a pull-down menu with further functions.
