Divide Pipeline

Use this function to cut a pipeline into two or several segments. Proceed as follows:
- Select the pipeline you want to divide.
- Specify the desired division points.
- Confirm the division point selection by pressing the middle mouse button. The division will then be carried out.
Sometimes it can accidentally happen that one pipeline has been constructed which should actually consist of several pipelines. That is, the pipeline consists of several so-called connection components. The following image shows such an example:
When you move the cursor over such a pipeline, a corresponding message will be displayed at the cursor.
If the pipeline is to be divided, it is sufficient to click on the pipeline and to answer the subsequent query with Yes.
Each connection component will then become a separate pipeline.
Please note:
- This function can also be executed if only solid bodies are fitted.
- A pipeline division is also possible in case of "mixed" parts (i.e. partly with, partly without symbol bodies).
- Existing isometry data saved in the pipeline are recognized, and HiCAD issues an appropriate warning if required.
- If you click OK, pipeline referencings are automatically deleted and the corresponding HELiOS master data will be removed.
