Generated isometries/pipe spool drawings can also be updated subsequently in the event of changes to the layout plan without having to be completely regenerated. This applies to part BOMs, length lists and connection lists as well as to crosshairs and north arrow of the active view. Furthermore, it is possible to carry out a complete update.

This functionality requires that the isometry was created with activated document link, i.e. the pipeline must be referenced!

• Update all
  If the function Update all is selected, the dialogue window Update isometry or Update pipe spool drawing is displayed.

By default, all checkboxes are active. However, you have the option to exclude elements from the update by simply deactivating the corresponding options. When updating a connection list, the connection information can be recopied directly from the referenced pipe (e.g. after changes in the layout plan) and the connection symbols on the pipe can be updated. If only changes have been made in the part database (designation, etc.), these functions are not necessary and can therefore be deactivated.

• Update an individual list
  This function directly updates the selected list. In the case of the connection list, the connection information from the referenced line is automatically updated and the connection symbols are renewed.

 

Example

In the following example the alignment has been changed manually in the lower view of the pipe plan. To reflect this in the crosshairs and the north arrow, the function Update is used.

Since only one crosshairs and one north arrow are created, if there are several views you may have to adjust both figures on the sheet using the function 2-D Part > Transform > Move > Move part, free.
