You use this function to insert tensioning elements.

Fitting is performed in the same way as for the Welding end function.

Turnbuckles

Steel Engineering > CAids > Bolting > Turnbuckles ,

You can use a turnbuckle, for example, to tension cables. Turnbuckles can be fitted in HiCAD with or without welding ends. The following turnbuckles are available:

	DIN 1480 SP
	DIN 1480 SP AE

To fit a turnbuckle, proceed as follows:

1. Define a processing plane parallel to the cross-section.
2. Call the function.
3. Choose the turnbuckle type, the size and the material.
4. Click OK to exit the selection window.
5. Next, define the fitting position.

The turnbuckle is fitted perpendicular to the processing plane.
