Move Text

Select this function to move graphic texts. HiCAD automatically switches the grid off before the text is moved and then switches it on again.
Proceed as follows:
- When the prompt "Please select text" appears on the screen, set the cross-hairs on the appropriate text and select it.
HiCAD then hangs a rectangle representing the text on the cursor so that reference point of the text is on the intersection point of the cross-hairs, and asks for the new position of the text (RMB = Reference point)
If you want to change the reference point:
- Press the right mouse button and then activate the Text reference point icon. HiCAD displays the appropriate dialogue box showing the current reference point position.
- Click the new position of the reference point and select OK.
The position of the rectangle representing the text is changed appropriately in relation to the cross-hairs. If you select Cancel, the previous text position is retained.
- You can now place the text at its new position.
