This function enables you to copy the contents of a drawn rectangle on the same sheet. The following options are available:
|
Copy symbol in rectangle, only X or Y |
This option enables you to create copies of symbols contained in the specified rectangle by moving originals along the x or y axis of the sketch grid set for P+ID. |
|
Copy symbols in rectangle, with sketch |
Use this option to move the originals of symbols contained in the specified rectangle in an optional direction on the sketch grid set for P+ID. |
|
Copy symbol in rectangle, without sketch |
This option creates copy of symbols contained in the specified rectangle without invoking sketch mode. |
- Create a rectangle about the drawing section you want to copy by specifying two diagonal points.
- Specify a suspension point, i.e. the point via which the copy will be positioned.
- Specify the insertion point of the copy.
HiCAD copies the contents of the box on the given position on the active sheet.

Copying corresponds to the creation and insertion of a module, whereby module files are not saved but the content of the module are saved temporarily to memory.
If a connection with a flow-direction arrow is completely contained in the rectangle, the relative position of the arrow on the connection is retained. If only a point of the connection is contained in the rectangle, it is moved to the centre of the processed connection.
