Insert Beams+Profiles
In HiCAD Metal Engineering, the insertion of many beams and profiles takes place via a common interface with the industry-specific program LogiKal® by the company Orgadata. LogiKal dialogues are called in HiCAD, enabling you to define various LogiKal parts from different suppliers and fit them as parts in HiCAD drawings - from individual beams to facade combinations. The whole range of HiCAD functions is available to the user for the insertion and processing of the parts.
The exact functionalities of the LogiKal dialogues depend on the installed LogiKal version and is explained in the user guide (handbook).
Further parts, such as series beams according to factory standards, can be integrated into your metal and glazing constructions via the HiCAD part type catalogue.
If you do not work with special tools such as the LogiKal grid or a HiCAD Sketch, you can use the insertion options toolbar for your 3-D design tasks.
Please note:
- General HiCAD functions for part processing as well as functions from other industry modules (Steel Engineering, Sheet metal) are integrated in the menu bars of the Metal Engineering module, in order to provide quick and convenient access to frequently required tools in Metal Engineering. Detailed descriptions how to use these menu items can be found in the relevant chapters of the Online Help.
- During fitting of LogiKal beams and profiles, you can automatically assign HELiOS part master data to 2-D cross-sections of series beams. This setting, which is only recommended for advanced users, can be specified in the configuration files (\sys\STGL*.dat) of the individual beam series.
