Function Search

 

HiCAD offers a very extensive range of functions. Therefore, it can happen that one is looking for a certain function but does not know exactly on which Ribbon the function can be found. In such cases, the new Function search docking window can help.

In the docking window, all Ribbon tabs and the function groups of the docking window Civil Engineering functions are listed.

 

The display can be influenced with the toolbar functions as follows:

	collapses the display and shows only the first level of the Ribbons / Civil Engineering functions
	shows the first two levels of the Ribbons / Civil Engineering functions
	shows the first three levels of the Ribbons / Civil Engineering functions
	shows all levels of Ribbons / Civil Engineering functions

 

In addition, the display of individual Ribbons / Civil Engineering functions can be expanded further by clicking on a symbol, i.e. the function groups of a Ribbon or the functions of a pull-down menu are also listed, for example. Accordingly, these can be hidden again by clicking on the symbol.

 

If you enter a search term in the docking window, HiCAD lists all functions whose name contains the specified search term. The search is carried out in all ribbon bars as well as in the functions of the docking window Civil Engineering functions.

 

If you right-click on a function, the function can either be called up directly or the Help for this function can be displayed.

 

In addition, the function path can be copied to the clipboard, e.g. Drawing > Others > Extras > 3-D Grid.
