Use the functions of the Derive menu to automatically create workshop, detail, overall and production drawings, without having to close your current drawing. The following options are available:

As of HiCAD 2022, detail drawings can only be created via the Derive drawing function. The previous functions for printing, opening and deleting detail drawings in steel engineering can still be found under Up to HiCAD 2021 in the Drawing menu
Please note:
Derived drawings which were not created as sheet views of the current drawing, but in a new drawing, will be automatically saved by HiCAD to the same directory to which the original drawing has been saved. The file name is composed of the prefix "CD" and an automatically generated, unique ID, e.g. CD_263485165.
