Series cross-section, Assign attributes

Steel Engineering > Further functions > Settings > Series cross-sections, Assign attributes

You can assign certain attributes directly to each 2-D series cross-section

  1. Once you have activated the function, identify the desired individual cross-section - either in the drawing or in the ICN.
  2. Select the material that you want to assign to the cross-section.
  3. Select OK to end the Material window.
  4. HiCAD displays the Part attributes window. Specify the attributes of the cross-section, if desired.
  5. Use the OK button to exit the window.

Series cross-section, Save as catalogue part

Steel Engineering > Further functions > Settings > Series cross-sections, Save as catalogue part

You use this function to save 2-D cross-sections for series beams in the SERIES catalogue.

  1. Identify the cross-section to be saved.
  2. Choose the Factory standards > Series catalogue.
  3. Choose the table in which you want the cross-section to be saved. Tables ISD EXAMPLE and ISD EXAMPLE DCF are available for series beams.
  4. Enter the desired data and choose OK to end the dialogue.
