P+ID Modules (P+ID)

Document Management handles a so-called "P+ID module" in the same way as a normal HiCAD 2-D part. This means that a FIG file exists and that it is assigned to the master record in Document Management. The P+ID module is comprised of a FIG file and a file with the same name with the extension ETZ. All P+ID modules are stored in a sub-directory in the FILEGRUP.DAT file, normally specified under the ID "7"; as \PID\MODULES.

The User Interface for the functions:

Create module
Load module

can be handled in the same way as the standard 2-D user interface.

Notes:

If you select the P+ID Module from the search result list or select the master data mask with Edit, HiCAD deletes module data but retains the associated document record in the database.

P+ID modules can only be edited in HiCAD P+ID. If you only want to change drawings, you can also use HiCAD 2-D functions. In this case, please remember that the position of connections, fitting points and dialogue text should not be changed.
