LogiKal 3-D (3-D ME)

Metal Engineering > Logikal 3-D

The Logikal 3-D function group of the Metal Engineering tab provides functions for the import of LogiKal parts.

If you click the Beam icon in the LogiKal 3-D function group, the LogiKal dialogue opens, enabling you to insert a part of the facade combination. Select a facade combination of the desired series. Other options of the LogiKal dialogue (subseries etc.) vary depending on the series you selected.

Clicking below the Beam function opens a pull-down menu with the following functions:

LogiKal insert + facade

In the LogiKal catalogue, select a beam/profile via manufacturer and series and insert it using the Fitting options.

The LogiKal dialogue for beam/profile combinations for glazing constructions offers various series for selection, for some series with the additional option for glazing bead variations. In the last step you need to select a base beam, and the Fitting options dialogue opens.

2-D section of 3-D facade

Mark the area with LogiKal beams in your HiCAD 3-D drawing of which you want to create a 2-D section. A LogiKal dialogue opens enabling you to precisely define the section. The section will then be re-transferred to HiCAD and integrated into your 3-D model drawing.

The other functions in the LogiKal 3-D function group are as follows:

Logikal 3-D

Use the Insert in beam frame and Glass in beam frame functions to fit glass panes or complete facades into your HiCAD 3-D drawing with a simple mouse-click in the middle of a beam frame. The insertion in the beam frame will be calculated by LogiKal automatically.

Opens the Object Management window, enabling you to load LogiKal files into HiCAD via Object > Import.

Opens the selection dialogue for facade beams/profiles. Depending on the beam series, additional specification options may be available, such as Sealing variant, Glass rail variation or Sub-series. In the following LogiKal dialogue you are prompted to specify the number of Height and Width fields of the grid (maximum number: 99), as well as the Total width and Total height. You can then select further LogiKal options for facades options (e.g. sealings) and choose a fitting point for insertion.

Use this function to create a LogiKal facade via a Sketch.

Working with a HiCAD sketch is recommended if, for instance, the creation of particular drafts glazing constructions is not possible with the LogiKal grid.
