Attach Bend Zone (3-D SM)

HiCAD Sheet Metal enables you to add bend zones even without a flange. Two functions are available for this:

• Attach bend zone
• Insert bend zone, between 2 points

Attach bend zone

Sheet Metal > Attach > Attach bend zone

This function enables you to add the bend zone over the entire length of a sheet part by identifying the connecting edge. The bend zone is added, taking into account the technology data.

Insert bend zone, between 2 points

Sheet Metal > Attach > BZone > Insert bend zone, between 2 points

This function adjusts the bend zone by specifying 2 points with a relief groove.

1. First, enter the dimensions for the relief groove and choose OK to exit the dialogue window.
2. Identify the connecting edge.
3. Define how the bend zone is bounded by means of two points.

The following example does not have a relief groove, as the value of the entered dimensions is 0.

Once you have selected the function, you can call and change the Technology data by pressing the right mouse button.
