WiCAM (3-D SM)

You can use the WiCAM interface to convert drawings to a WiCAM-compatible format. A text file containing the coordinates of the drawing is created, thus enabling the drawing to be restored in the WiCAM software.

This file is stored in the SYS folder. The file name is composed as follows: filenameofthescene_2_WICAM.txt

You can output an individual sheet part or convert the entire drawing to a WICAM-compatible format.

Output Individual Sheet as WICAM File

Sheet Metal > Sheet development > Extras > 3-D Sheet

This function exports individual sheets as a text file from the drawing. For this to happen, you need to identify an edge of the base sheet. The file is stored in the SYS folder.

Output 3-D Assembly as a WICAM File

Sheet Metal > Sheet development > Extras > 3-D Assembly

This function exports the entire drawing as a text file. The file is stored in the SYS folder.

Output 2-D Data

Sheet Metal > Sheet development > Extras > 2-D Data

This function enables you to output the blank as 2-D geometry via the WICAM interface.

  1. Identify the blank externally and close to the start point.

The Data Transfer to WICAM PN 4000 dialogue window opens :

  1. Specify the sheet thickness.

During installation, PN4000 generates a directory tree, which reflects the archive structure. The file types must be stored in the relevant subdirectories.

Three files are generated:

If you have selected Archive, the files are output directly to the WiCAM-specific folder.

If Archive is deactivated, you can choose any folder once you have clicked OK to close the mask.

Three files are also generated this time:

  1. Select an archive and enter the nesting parameters.
  2. Click OK to save the files.
