Print Variables
You can use system variables to insert invisible texts in the
HiCAD drawing frames, which are assigned the relevant current (and visible) values in the printout . Examples of this are the print date and the print time.
- Print date
You can use the system variable @PLOD@ to output the current date when
plotting/printing. If you are working with DIN frames, this will happen
automatically. The date is output in the bottom right corner of the frame.
If you are not working with a DIN frame, proceed as follows:
- Click
New in the menu bar.
- Activate
the 2-D Part > Main part
function.
- Enter
the part name beginning with DIN.
- Switch to the 2-D Dimensioning tab.
- Activate
the New Text (2-D)
function.
- Insert
the text @PLOD@ at the position at which you want the date to appear when
it is printed/plotted.
- Print time
@PLOZ@
- Name
of the computer from which the printout is sent
@PLOC@
- User (operating system) who sent the printout
@PLON@
- Name of the drawing
@PLOF@
The placeholder texts are not visible in the drawing!
