Drawing Properties

Drawing > Properties > Attr.

Every HiCAD drawing has certain properties, e.g. scale, unit of measurement, coordinate system, etc. To change these drawing properties, select the appropriate functions of the Properties menu, or choose the function from the context menu of the drawing (right-click pink dotted frame around drawing object):

Drawing
	Main scale	Changes the main scale of the drawing (only in drawing context menu).
	Drawing attributes	Opens the Drawing attributes dialogue window.
	Unit of measurement	Sets the unit of measurement for the active drawing (default: mm).
	Tolerance	Use this function to specify the tolerance range (default: 0.001). (only in drawing context menu)
	Decimal places	Defines the number of decimal places to which displayed values and coordinates are to be rounded (default: 3).
	Decimal places for angles	Defines the number of decimal places for angle values to which displayed values and coordinates are to be rounded (default: 2).
	Screen Z-coordinate	Moves the screen plane by the value Z.
	Surface approximation	Defines the number of polygon points for 3-D quadrants. This is taken into account, for example, in polyhedron approximation and shading of 3-D models.
	Hidden Line options	When performing a Hidden Line calculation HiCAD always performs a quick check for possible overlaps and collisions, and, if there are any, corrects them automatically. Use this function to perform a more thorough Hidden Line collision check. Please note however that a thorough collision check may affect the performance during Hidden Line calculation if it is applied to very large drawings.
	Limiting angle for shading	Corrects colour differences at the polyhedral edges of curved surfaces (only important for the 3-D model ).

Main scale

Changes the main scale of the drawing (only in drawing context menu).

Drawing attributes

Opens the Drawing attributes dialogue window.

Unit of measurement

Sets the unit of measurement for the active drawing (default: mm).

	According to material catalogue	Defines the standard for hatching section surfaces.
	Parallel lines
	Scale-dependency	Determines whether 3-D hatchings are to be scale-dependent or scale-independent.
