Information - Data Structure Check

Information > 3-D, Further > Check

Use the data structure check functions to check individual parts or the entire drawing for errors in the part structure. You can find the functions in the Check pull-down menu.

Redraw body, Active part

Rebuilds surfaces of a part, thus guaranteeing, amongst other things, that the bordering of facets is exactly located on the surface (this is important before performing Boolean operation). This function can also be helpful if one of the other checking options was unsuccessful.

Freeform surfaces which can be displayed as analytical surfaces are automatically converted when recreating the body. If you do not want this to happen, you need to change the entry Should FFS be converted, if possible, into analytical surfaces once they are created?..... from 1 to 0  in the system file SPLINE.DAT.

Please note that this function is not suitable for original HiCAD parts! Use this function only for a reworking of imported parts immediately after their reading via an interface!

Redraw body, All parts

Data structure check, 2-D Geometry

Checks the entire drawing for possible errors in the component structure. If problems occur when processing the drawing and the test is not successful, then call the hotline.

Data structure check, 2-D Text

2-D texts from different programs which you can import via the interfaces can contain 3-D information. This function checks the texts and deletes the 3-D information.

Data structure check, 3-D Geometry

Checks individual 3-D parts or the entire drawing for possible errors in the 3-D part structure.

Save (data store)

Writes the content of the current 3-D data store to an LST file.

First choose the data you want to be saved. Then enter the name of the file in which you want the data to be saved.

Basic data describes the 3-D geometry of the drawing, while view data describes the transformed geometry (depending on the selected projection). View data also contains additional information on the selected display type, the highlighted edges of a body, defined views etc.
