Part from Reference Part (PE)

If you select this option, you can derive a new part from a reference part in the drawing instead of selecting the part type etc.

• Components/Gauges
  In this case, the part inserted is really the same part as the reference part.
• Pipe parts
  If you select this option, insertion of a reference part means that all database part attributes of the reference part (apart from parts with names beginning with „HEL_“) are used as search criteria for the part you want to insert.

As criteria derived from default settings and insertion conditions are superimposed on search data, it is possible that a suitable part cannot be found in the database.

It is also possible that the reference part e.g. has a nominal diameter of 50, but as default settings or insertion conditions demand a nominal diameter of 32, the same part with a nominal diameter of 32 is inserted.

It is not possible to use reference parts when inserting straight pipes or elbows.
