Lengthen guidelines (only via end points) (PE)

Plant Engineering > Guideline Tools > Guide. > Lengthen guidelines (only via end points)

Select this function to lengthen an existing guideline.

First, identify the end point of and existing guideline. As target point, identify the connecting point of a part or the end point of another guideline.

After specification of the start and end point, the C-edge alternatives dialogue window appears.

Select OK.to apply the guideline.

It might happen that an existing guideline was created manually, and therefore does not fulfil the pre-defined conditions for semi-automatic guideline creation, especially with respect to the minimum edge length. In such cases, automatic lengthening will only be possible by way of exception, and an appropriate warning will be issued.

The c-edge does not conform to the pre-defined constraints concerning edge lengths and angles. An automatic lengthening is probably not possible. Try anyway?
