Insert Bolted Flange Connection for Complete Pipeline (PE)

Click the part of the pipeline into which you would like to insert the bolted flange connections.

First, the dialogue with general Settings for bolted connections will be displayed (if it has not been deactivated with the Suppress window checkbox). Here, especially the options for Level of detail and Geometry are of interest. In the Grip length area, you should always choose the Calculate option. The specified Fitting mode is not relevant here.

Specify the desired settings and confirm with OK.

If the required bolted flange connections have already been saved as KRA files, and only one saved bolted flange connection exists for each insertion position, no further data input will be required and all bolted flange connections will be automatically inserted.

Otherwise, the required input data will be queried for the corresponding insertion position, as described in the Insert Individual Bolted Flange Connection topic.

Finally, a message informing you about the number of the inserted bolted flange connections will be displayed, e.g. Number of succesfully inserted bolted flange connections: 5.

The bolts will be aligned as follows:

In parts with several flange connections, the bolt heads are always located on the flanges which have been connected to them:

In all other cases, the aligning will take place according to the World Coordinate System. If you imagine the bolt end opposite to the bolt head as an arrowhead, the bolts will point into a space that can be described by X > 0, Y > 0. Bolts running parallel to the Z-axis will point into -Z-direction.
